Underwater lights are part of the swimming pool lighting system, which mainly provide lighting and create a comfortable night scene. Since underwater lights are in direct contact with the pool water, it is necessary to be very strict when choosing lamps. Today, I will share with you the main factors for choosing underwater lights.
Installation method:
There are three types of methods: wall-mounted, embedded, and assembled.
Wall-mounted underwater lights refer to the installation of the pool wall by wall-mounting. There is no need to pre-open holes in the pool wall and reserve installation holes. Choosing wall-mounted underwater lights will not affect the structure of the pool wall, and is suitable for the transformation of underwater lighting systems of various new and old swimming pools.
Embedded underwater lights are composed of lamp bodies and embedded lamp shells. Before installing underwater lights on the pool wall, the installation holes of the underwater lights need to be designed in advance and reserved before the installation can be completed smoothly. The overall structure of the embedded underwater light determines its good sealing performance, and provides better waterproof and safety performance. And because the protruding surface of the pool wall is small, the design is more beautiful.
The assembled type is used for steel structure assembly of swimming pools and fiberglass swimming pools and other pool walls. It is easy to install, easy to replace, and has good sealing.
Types of light sources:
The light source is the core part of the underwater light. Its technical characteristics determine the performance and structure of the underwater light. The light sources of underwater lights are divided into halogen lamps, PAR lamps, and LED lamps. At present, the mainstream underwater light sources on the market are mainly LED light sources. LED is called the fourth generation of lighting light sources or green light sources. It has the characteristics of energy saving, environmental protection, long life, and small size.
Creation effect:
The lighting system can not only be used to illuminate the environment and provide vision, but also can be designed with the swimming pool and the surrounding landscape to make it shine through the light. Lights can decorate the courtyard or platform into a large stage for leisure and entertainment at night, and cover ordinary things with a layer of charming colors.
The diverse color changes of underwater lights are one of the reasons for creating the night view effect of the swimming pool. It uses solid semiconductor chips as light-emitting materials. When a forward voltage is applied to both ends, red, yellow, green, cyan, orange, purple, and white light are directly emitted. Changing colors: LED light source can use the short power-on time of LED and the principle of red, green and blue primary colors to achieve multiple changes in colors and patterns under the control of computer technology. It is a “dynamic light source” that can be controlled at will.
Waterproof performance:
The waterproof standard is required to meet the international highest waterproof test standard of IP68, and multiple waterproof processes such as standard waterproof power cord, high-quality waterproof rubber ring, and glue filling in the lamp body are adopted.
The use of potting series underwater lights can completely prevent the damage to the lamp body and the accompanying safety hazards caused by the water ingress of underwater lights, and at the same time comprehensively improve the safety and service life of swimming pool underwater lights. The potting process is a new underwater lamp packaging and manufacturing process. It uses transparent materials to protect the LED light source and electronic components of underwater lights like objects in amberWorking voltage:
The rated working voltage of the lamp is the electrical parameter indicator of the lamp, which directly determines the use environment of the lamp, that is, the actual working voltage must be consistent with the rated working voltage. Otherwise, the light source will be burned out due to excessive voltage, or the lighting effect will not be achieved due to too low voltage.
The voltage of underwater lights must be designed for low voltage. The international low voltage standard is equal to less than 36V, which is a low voltage safety voltage. Pool lights cannot be directly connected to household electricity (220V). They must be connected through a transformer, otherwise they will be burned out. Underwater lights of poor quality may even cause safety accidents.
Lamp shell material:
Classified by material, there are mainly stainless steel, engineering plastics, and stainless steel + plastic. Engineering plastic materials have the advantages of corrosion resistance, insulation, light weight and strength. Stainless steel materials have the advantages of pressure resistance, not easy to deform, and durability. For example, 316 stainless steel adds molybdenum to 304 stainless steel to make it more corrosion-resistant and rust-resistant, and more suitable for waters with relatively high pH, such as seawater swimming pools and aquariums.
